Vision 2013 - Sea Beyond

Aqua Jada is the water-wise mermaid.  Jada means “wise” and she sees beyond her past because she knows it’s the only way to see her future. Hence, the name of the painting is “Sea Beyond”.

She "seas" beyond what’s in front of her to create her future  -- one of richness, love, joy and beauty.  In the midst of the deep troubling waters is a vastness of beauty.  Can you see it?

The word "vision" has been popping in my head since the New Year began.  I’m being asked to see rivers in the desert and, apparently, magical mermaids under the deep blue sea.  LOL!

Seeing beyond usually means leaving something behind –  it’s like starting with a blank canvas and building from there.  Can you perceive it?

Aqua Jada was created layer upon layer, hour after hour. She reminds me to let go and embrace the new, so I started a list of what I wanted to see happening in my life in 2013, then I thought about it and wrote down what I saw "beyond". Why not you?

What will your "Sea Beyond" list look like?

Isaiah 43:18-19 (CJB)

"Stop dwelling on past events and brooding over times gone by; I am doing something new. It's springing up – can't you see it? I am making a road in the desert, rivers in the wasteland"

There will be more of Aqua Jada later this week –

art supplies used and technique tips.

Please leave a comment about your list of “seaing beyond” into your Vision for 2013.

Love your "Sea Beyond". It's kinda ironic for me to visit today and read your blog, especially after a sermon on "More than Water" - Luke 3:15-17, 21-22. Thanks for all your inspiration.

Your painting is wonderful. The time it takes to create such a treasure is worth every minute. Lovely painting in every way,

Awesome work of art there! Now is really all there is. No past, no future...but we can envision what we'd like our now to be to create a brighter future.

Love the beautiful colors!

great put up, very informative. I wonder why the other experts
of this sector don't realize this. You must continue your writing. I am confident, you've a huge readers' base already!
