What am I expecting in 2012? To create art, to network art, to share as an artist and glean from other artisans and to enjoy art.
I joined Tamara Laporte's Life Book 2012 and created
"Goddess of Expectations"

Tamara's a good teacher because I rarely "do faces." I was also concentrating on the word "Expection" because I'm also submitting this art journal to Artist in Blogland's Challenge for February. (Resourcefulness is a necessity in our busy lives, don't you think?)

So we'll call her the Goddess of Expectations and exactly what is her story? I know she is searching as she gazes up.

For I did not necessarily intend for her head to tilt upward, but I found as she came to life -- she created life around her.

She thought pretty thoughts and dreamed pretty dreams.

The words she thought and the words she spoke created her realm and her atmosphere was influenced by her expectations.

Yes the Goddess of Expectations is full of hope and expects BIG for 2012. I thought this version was finished, but she just kept thinking and bloomed into 3D.

She's bringing into her life thankfulness. She's magnifying love. She creates what she focuses on -- and so the Goddess of Expectations remains in a world of abundance -- words of creativity float around her, jeweled flowers drop from heaven and swirls of stars and angels sparkle her world.
What are you concentrating on? What is your focus?
Creating art is a form of wealth and prosperity and I invite you to leave a comment or two about your expectations for 2012
Blessings Terri

This is a wonderful piece and I love how you showed the steps as she developed. I'm not very good at faces either, but I enjoy trying. And practicing makes us better. I love the 3-D look you added with the flowers. I have a word for the year, "humility" and I am trying to make that a bigger part of my life. I am making it a point to do more art in 2012. It brings me joy! Happy PS!
Blessings,
Tricia
